At Nationwide Hygiene Group, we're always looking for opportunities to learn from our supplier partners and explore new ways to support our sustainability goals. With that in mind, we recently attended the Tork and Climate Partner event at West Retford Hotel, bringing together experts from across the cleaning and hygiene industry to discuss climate action, carbon reduction and the role businesses can play in creating a more sustainable future.

The day began with a series of presentations from both Tork and Climate Partner, focusing on the challenges and opportunities organisations face as sustainability becomes an increasingly important consideration for customers, suppliers and stakeholders alike.

One of the key themes throughout the event was the importance of taking practical action. Discussions covered carbon measurement, emissions reduction strategies and how businesses can build sustainability into everyday decision-making. Rather than focusing solely on long-term targets, the sessions highlighted the value of making meaningful improvements now and building momentum over time.

We also heard about Tork's ongoing sustainability initiatives and how innovation continues to play an important role in reducing environmental impact across its product range. From resource efficiency to waste reduction, the discussions demonstrated how sustainable solutions can deliver operational benefits while helping organisations progress towards their environmental objectives.

Perhaps the most valuable part of the day was the opportunity to share experiences with other businesses facing similar challenges. Sustainability is a journey for every organisation, and events like these provide a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, learning from best practice and identifying opportunities for collaboration.

Following the morning sessions, we travelled to May's Wood for a tree-planting activity. After spending the day discussing climate action and environmental responsibility, it was rewarding to contribute directly to a project that will continue to benefit the local environment for years to come.

The experience served as a reminder that sustainability is at its most effective when discussion is matched with action. While there is no single solution to the challenges businesses face, progress is driven by collaboration, innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We would like to thank the teams at Tork and Climate Partner for hosting an insightful and engaging event. The day provided valuable knowledge, practical takeaways and fresh perspectives that will help shape our ongoing sustainability journey.

At Nationwide Hygiene Group, we remain committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting our customers with products, services and solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.
